My contract is a two way contract of respect for each other (and the group if our work takes place in a group).
Respect for me includes your attendance, punctuality and payment, and most of all your honesty in feeding back to me clearly, any problems in our work.
Respect for you, includes me showing up for you, keeping confidentiality and respect as a priority for you and your situation and clear communication.
Within a boundaried contract we can attain the trust necessary for working at the depth appropriate for you.

CONFIDENTIALITY
The work that I do with you and all that you tell me is strictly confidential. I keep all notes protected and secured. I take my work to supervision, which is also confidential.
Any records of our discussions are not identifiable and use code numbers and are kept separately from your details (see Data below). Bear in mind that texts, messages and emails are not suitable for your confidential process.
REGISTRATION / DATA / DIGITAL POLICY
Your registration and contact details are kept secure and only used by Miriam Grace / Blue Skies. In emergency situations these will be passed to a medical professional or a therapist bound by their own code of ethics to enable them to assist you. Please ensure you understand my digital policy and the intention to keep your data secure and the various fallibilities of the various methods of communication we may have.
ETHICS
I adhere to the ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the ethics of the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI).
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
The outcome of therapy is directly affected by client motivation and commitment to the therapeutic alliance. This includes regular, punctual attendance and attention to the contract. I do always want to know how you are experiencing therapy so I can respond to you. I appreciate your willingness to feedback about the process. We share responsibility for ensuring you are getting what you want from the sessions and do this through honest communication.
FEES
Fees are reviewed annually and any increases are made in January. Fees are taken at the time of booking.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancelled sessions are non-refundable. Using your booking link you can rearrange a session with a minimum of 72 hours notice. If you have to cancel for any reason, including illness, please telephone me to let me know. I will do my best to accommodate a request for rescheduling with less than 72 hours but cannot guarantee this.
QUALIFICATIONS
I am accredited both as a counsellor and supervisor with the BACP (Senior Accredited) and as a psychotherapist with the UKCP. I have a diploma in Person-Centred Counselling (SPTI) and a post-graduate diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (SPTI). I have completed a diploma course in clinical supervision and an MA in Humanistic Psychotherapy. I have undergone several years of personal psychotherapy. I have been working as a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer since 1990.
